Installation Information

  • Use the correct fixing position: Fix through the appropriate part of the corrugation/profile and into the timber support below.
  • Do not over-tighten: The washer should sit firmly against the sheet without being crushed or excessively compressed. Over-tightening can damage the sheet and restrict its ability to accommodate normal thermal movement.
  • Pre-drilling: Where required, pre-drill the roofing sheet in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation guidance to allow for thermal movement.
  • Keep the fixing perpendicular: Screws should be installed straight and square to the roofing sheet to ensure the washer seals correctly.
  • Check the substrate: These are woodscrews intended for timber supports. Different fixings may be required when fixing corrugated sheets to other substrates.
  • Use sufficient fixings: Fixing quantity and spacing will depend on the sheet profile, sheet length, support spacing and installation location. Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the roofing sheet being installed.
  • Do not walk directly on corrugated sheets: Use suitable crawling boards or roof ladders supported by the structure when access to the roof is required.
