Brown is a standard finish, not a custom request. White, brown and anthracite grey are the three standard powder-coated colours for the Evolution Bespoke Canopy System, so brown carries the normal 2 to 4 week delivery time. If you need a specific shade to match existing joinery, other RAL colours are available on request; ask us about the lead time before ordering.
Yes. Matching existing brown fascias, guttering, window frames or timber cladding is the usual reason for choosing a brown frame. The standard brown is a dark shade, so compare it against your existing brown in daylight, because uPVC and stained timber browns vary. If it is not close enough, other RAL browns are available on request.
Usually, yes. Brown sits more quietly against old brick, stone and timber than white, which can look stark on a period house, or grey, which reads as modern. That is a suggestion rather than a rule. If the house already has white windows and fascias, a white frame may tie in better. Look at the wall and joinery together before you choose.
Brown with a bronze roof gives a warm, unified look that suits timber and older brick, and the bronze tint gives more shade underneath. Brown with a clear roof keeps the space brighter and makes the frame stand out more against the sky. Choose bronze if you want shade for seating, clear if the canopy covers a door or window that needs daylight.
A brown frame will feel warmer to the touch than a white one in full sun, because dark surfaces absorb more of the sun's heat. The frame is a small part of the canopy, though. The roof sheet decides how warm it is underneath, so if heat is your concern choose a bronze or opal 16mm roof rather than a lighter frame colour.
