16mm White Opal Multiwall Polycarbonate Sheet

Our 16mm Multiwall Polycarbonate sheets are a high performance roofing and glazing solution designed for a wide range of domestic and commercial applications. Lightweight, easy to handle and highly durable, this material is commonly used for carport roofing, pergolas, conservatories and lean-to roofs.

With great light transmission, built-in UV1 protection and a Class 1 Fire Rating to BS476/7, multiwall polycarbonate provides a reliable alternative to traditional glazing materials. The UV-resistant surface helps protect the sheet from harmful UV radiation, reducing the risk of yellowing and helping maintain long-term clarity.

We recommend you don't exceed 800mm width sheets without the correct supports.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Strong is 16mm Polycarbonate?

16mm polycarbonate roof sheets are very strong—typically at least 200 times stronger than glass and other plastic alternatives such as acrylic. Some consider it to be virtually unbreakable.

What’s the Best Thickness for Polycarbonate Roofing?

Roofing projects typically require thicker polycarbonate for durability, although it depends on the intended use. For example, 16mm polycarbonate roofing is ideal for projects such as carports or pergolas, but using polycarbonate roofing on more permanent structures would require a thicker sheet, such as 25-35mm.
