Only a little, and only in daylight. Bronze is a clear tint that cuts glare and light by about half, so the inside looks darker from outside on a bright day. It is not a privacy screen. Once the space is lit at night and it is darker outside, people can see straight through. For real privacy choose embossed sheet instead.
Both. We stock bronze Palsun in 4mm and 6mm as standard sheets of 1525x2050mm and 2050x3050mm, and we can cut those down to your measurements for a fee. Cut pieces are made to order, so they are non-returnable, and our cutting tolerance is plus or minus 5mm. A standard uncut sheet keeps the usual 14-day cancellation right for consumers.
Our 4mm and 6mm bronze sheets let through about 50% of daylight, compared with about 90% for clear solid polycarbonate. A bronze canopy or porch roof feels shaded rather than dim, with less glare and heat build-up on bright days. If you want a bright space, or plants underneath, clear is the better choice.
Yes. Bronze solid polycarbonate is UV protected on both sides and has the same weather and impact resistance as the clear sheet, so it suits screens, fence panels and garden partitions as well as canopy and porch roofs. Fix it with room to expand, as all polycarbonate moves with temperature. For a windbreak, 6mm is the stiffer option.
Yes. The tint changes the colour, not the material, so a bronze sheet has the same impact strength as clear sheet of the same thickness, around 200 times that of glass. It also carries the same UV protection on both sides. Choose the thickness for the job, not the colour: 6mm is noticeably stiffer than 4mm.
