Why Use a Sheet End Closure?

Multiwall polycarbonate sheets have open flutes at their cut ends. Leaving these ends exposed can allow dust, dirt, insects and moisture to enter the internal structure of the sheet.

A sheet end closure provides a protective finishing profile over the open edge, helping to keep the flutes cleaner while also giving the installation a more professional appearance.

For the best installation, the sheet ends should be prepared using the appropriate aluminium sealing tape and anti-dust breather tape before the PVC closure is fitted. The correct tape depends on the position of the sheet and the thickness of the polycarbonate.

Installation

1. Ensure the polycarbonate sheet has been cut to the required size and the flutes are clean.
2. Apply the appropriate aluminium sealing tape to the upper end of the sheet and anti-dust breather tape to the lower/drainage end, where required.
3. Position the PVC sheet closure over the end of the polycarbonate sheet.
4. Press the closure firmly into position, ensuring it is seated evenly along the full length.
5. The closure should provide a secure, snug fit without damaging or crushing the polycarbonate sheet.
