F-SECTIONS: PVC & ALUMINIUM

Our range of F-Sections are typically placed on the open ends of a polycarbonate roof, at the left and right-hand side. This finishes off the ends of the structure and gives an excellent finish helping to cover the wooden rafters and/or purlins.

F-Sections are a cost effective and neat solution to finishing off your project.

If you have exposed left and right sides of the end sheets, these should be finished with an aluminium F-Section. The sheets should slot in between the prongs of this profile.

Screw the side of the F-Section into the side of the end rafter. Alternatively, if installed the opposite way, screw the F-Section into the wall.

BASIC INSTALLATION ADVICE:

You can install your F-Sections in 2 different methods, depending on the type of profile you have opted for.

Method 1 for PVC F-Sections: Place the profile into the exposed end of the glazing bar and fasten by simply pushing down the snapdown cap. To fasten the snapdown cap of the glazing bar, work from one end to the other, and push into place until you hear the prongs click into the aluminium base of the glazing bar.

Method 2 for Aluminium F-Sections: This profile slides over the edge of your polycarbonate sheet. If used in this way, you will need to run a bead of silicone along the profile to assist with waterproofing. Not to be used with a PVC capped glazing bar as the prongs are too deep to fit the glazing bar.

We do strongly suggest that if applying to straight to the end of the sheet to run a line of silicone along the edge of the F-Section to ensure a watertight finish.
